Val Gamble is a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) actress, screenwriter, skit writer, stage emcee, co-producer,
casting director, with a dash of stand-up (& sit down) comedy. Born and raised in Brownsville Brooklyn,
Val’s creativity and talent surfaced from her love of music by witnessing the birth of hip hop and her
aspiration to become a female rapper early in life. She was signed as a rap vocalist with Left Lane
Productions landing her artist/management deals with Electra and SBK records. These connections led
directly to her appearing in urban classic movies such as “House Party” and “Juice” and more.
Living in Orlando Florida since 2005, she started doing theater which motivated her to form a
performance troupe called ‘Just Playin’. Val also created Gamble Entertainment where she helped to
cast, co-produce, and customize performances for personal and corporate events. As an actress she has
appeared in a multitude of films, videos, television, print, media, national and regional commercials for
companies such as ACE Hardware, Wawa, Publix, Amscot, Disney, Sea World, and many more. Her
credits also include being the co-writer of the feature film script "Bring That Beat Back" which was an
official selection for the 2017 Hollywood Black Film Festival, the 2017 National Black Film Festival, and the
2017 Women In Cinema International Screenplay Competition. Recently, Val’s comedic short play won
for Best Overall Play in ‘Beth Marshall Presents, Play-In-A-Day 2021’ event.
Val has written, directed, produced, and acted in performances for The Mayor's Office of Orlando, Star
94.5’s radio personality Monica May, Cox Media Group, The Wells Built Museum of African Heritage,
Kerouac House, University of Central Florida, The National Urban League, Darden Headquarters, and
Orlando Neighborhood Improvement Corporation.
Val currently teaches improv, comedy and acting at various after-school programs such as the Prodigy
Cultural Arts Program and Dramatic Education Inc. Val also teaches English as a second language (ESL)
classes online with Qkids Inc. to elementary students in China.
